FAQ: Chiropractic Care in Tracy CARinger Chiropractic Tracy chiropractors, helps answer questions about chiropractic care & our services: spinal adjustments, stretches & exercises

Many people who would benefit from chiropractic care don't know what chiropractic care is or what to expect from a chiropractor. At Ringer Chiropractic, we help answer questions about chiropractic care to ensure that the people of the community get the treatment they need in order to feel their best.

What is chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care is a method of treating patients with natural, non-invasive techniques. Chiropractors focus on healing through spinal realignment, nutrition counseling, lifestyle advice and other methods that treat symptoms at their source.

What techniques do chiropractors use to treat patients?

Chiropractors use a variety of methods to treat their patients. At Ringer Chiropractic, we treat patients with the following techniques:

  • Massage therapy. Massage therapy is a technique that we use to improve blood flow to injured areas and improve muscle flexibility.

  • Spinal adjustment. Spinal adjustment is a technique that we use to restore realignment to the spine and improve communication between brain and the rest of the body.

  • Nutrition counseling. Nutrition counseling helps our patients get the protein and nutrients they need in order to improve their health, reduce their pain and stay physically active.

  • Stretches and exercises. We teach patients how to perform stretches and exercises that can improve range of motion, reduce muscle stiffness and strengthen weakened muscles.

  • ...and much more! We use physical therapy, lifestyle advice, postural screenings and other techniques to help our patients stay healthy.

Who do chiropractors treat?

Chiropractors can treat patients of all ages, from the very young to the elderly. At Ringer Chiropractic, we also administer treatments to pregnant women to help reduce muscle pain during pregnancy and help prepare the body for labor.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Chiropractic care is effective enough to treat some of the most challenging disorders and illnesses, but safe enough to help patients of all ages.

What symptoms do chiropractors treat?

Chiropractors treat a variety of symptoms. Auto accident injuries, sports injuries, personal injuries, occupational injuries, sciatica, asthma, allergies, headaches, back aches, neck pain and more are all conditions that your chiropractor can treat. Some of the most common symptoms that we treat include:

  • Back, shoulder and neck pain.
  • Muscle stiffness.
  • Numbness or tingling in the limbs.
  • Muscle weakness.

How many sessions does it take a chiropractor to treat an injury or illness?

The number of times that a chiropractor must see a patient depends entirely on the patient's condition. Many patients see improvement even after just one visit, but the cumulative effect of spinal adjustments, stretches and exercises, massages and other treatments takes time to have its full effect on the body. On the initial visit, the chiropractor may tell the patient how many sessions the treatment will take, but this is an estimate that may change as the treatment progresses.

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "Dr. Ringer and his team are absolutely outstanding to work with whether you are post injury or just need a good adjustment. They are nothing but professional and helpful - even when you are being a challenging patient! Convenient evening appointments - I have never been turned away for a time to come in. Dr. Ringer taught me the correct exercises to help strengthen my neck and back and took this very fearful and cynical RN and made her a believer!!!! I now look forward to my adjustments because"
